MINUTIA: a small, precise, and minor detail

The most inspiring and challenging paradoxes about being an Industrial Designer is simultaneously playing the role of the artist and the pragmatist. What I love about design is the problem solving challenge that it brings; finding creative yet pragmatic solutions, while balancing the delicate interplay between the aesthetic, functionality and cost. All while managing the expectations and requirements of a diverse range of stakeholders.

I endeavour to design and produce product with careful consideration of the design elements and intense attention to detail. For I believe that it is the detail that elevates a piece to being something remarkable and ensures that it is of a high quality in terms of its durability and longevity.

Through my 10 year career as an Industrial Designer, I have worked in positions as an in-house designer for manufacturers, project managing at a design consultancy firm and also in freelance design positions. I have produced work with some of Australia’s top manufacturers including the Schiavello Group and Décor. In this time I have been instrumental in the launch of several product ranges and I personally get a great sense of satisfaction whenever I have contributed to the successful realisation of a well received range.
